MONOSTOR FORTRESS BY HYDROFOIL

Boarding from 7:30 AM. Departure from Budapest Vigadó Square Shipstation at 8:00 AM with a "Vöcsök" type hydrofoil. Arrival in Komarom at 10:00 AM.
The Komárom Monostor Fortress is the Central Europe's largest modern fortress. It was built between 1850 and 1871 on the right side of the Danube, according to the more-developed military architectural principles.
The fortress erved the soldier generations of the Hungarian army through a century, then the Soviet army used it as a secret armoury between 1945 and 1991. In this time the fortress lived his days in full isolation.
His dormant greatness touched the strange conquerors, a Soviet guard soldier's wall inscription is evidence of this: "Who did not see it, does not believe it. Who saw it, does not forget it..."

Fortress tour with professional guiding, wandering around in the casemate of the large fortress. On more levels, in daylight clear one and in pich-dark one. Following the 1.5-2 hours hiking the hydrofoil departures from Komárom to the hart of the Danubebend, to Nagymaros on the left side of the Danube.
In Nagymaros the program continues with a 3 assortments lunch in the Maros Restaurant at the shipstation.
After the lunch there after a short walk trough the small towns main square our guests get a wine tasting in the large wine cellar.
Later at app. 17:00 departure back to Budapest. Arrival in Budapest at the Vigadó Square Shipstation at 18:00.
